The Union Cattle Band was born on ideas from several area musicians.  It was decided that the sound was to be a cross between Texas Red Dirt and Classic Rock.  The main goal was to fill the void of a true rodeo band.  With music ranging from Merle Haggard to the Black Crowes, the time was now for a real rodeo band to take the region by storm.

Union Cattle is a slang term used by rodeo athletes, and it refers to the hired bulls that cowboys ride for a score.
